Join Us for the 2006 BDAA Convention! July 9-16, 2006, in Akron, Ohio Facilities Registration Tourism & Local Activities

This year’s concert will be held in the newly renovated Kent State University Auditorium, located on the beautiful main campus in Kent, Ohio. Victor Gorodinsky, Russian-born conductor, arranger, instrumentalist, and scholar from Madison, Wisconsin, will conduct the concert.

Tickets will be available at the door or at the Kent State University box office (330-672-2244). In addition, tickets are available at all Ticketmaster locations or online at www.ticketmaster.com. At non-KSU locations and online, a service fee will be applied.

Adults: $18, Seniors and Students: $15

You’ll be inspired early on with a lovely welcome party, “A Taste of Ohio,” scheduled for the evening of Sunday, July 9. We will be thoroughly entertained by an Akron area “all-ladies” tamburitza group, the Šarena Tamburitza Orchestra. They are a lively, fun group of girls who are sure to get the week going on the right track; exciting and special! Make sure you bring your tamburitzas to jam along with the ladies!

The rest of the week will provide memorable opportunities to unwind, meet new friends, and enjoy jam sessions! There will be plenty of room on the dance floor, an opportunity to express one’s self at Open-Mic night, the legendary Zakuski night, and a revival of last year’s very popular Gypsy night (with a few added surprises)!

You are sure to be impressed and enchanted with the Gala Banquet on Friday evening, held at the state-of-the-art St. Nicholas Social Hall on the beautiful, expansive, and majestic grounds of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church near Akron.
